My interest in making images comes out of a place of contemplation, the art of seeing with “new eyes” and being in the present moment. My goal is to make the familiar strange and create mystery. I ask the viewer to go into their imagination to create meaning for themselves and see what is beneath the surface.

I am inspired in my work by “any place at any time” when I am with my camera. It is about finding interest or beauty where I am at the present moment. For this to happen, I am relaxed and open.
